OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT AWARD BY
AMERICAN SOCIETY OF WOMEN ACCOUNTANTS

Award to be Presented at 2011 Annual Conference for Women in Accounting

October 11, 2011 (McLean, VA) -- American Society of Women Accountants (ASWA) is pleased to announce that Chris Perszyk-Cox will be honored with the 2011 Excellence in Accounting and Finance Award for Outstanding Achievement. Perszyk-Cox will be presented her award on October 25 at the Awards Luncheon during the 2011 Annual Conference for Women in Accounting.

"While I am honored to be nominated and receive this award, I am not the only one who loves ASWA and what ASWA does to help its members,” commented Perszyk-Cox. "I feel I am just doing my part to give back and help the chapter continue to assist women in accounting.”

Chris Perszyk-Cox is an Analyst in Government Compliance at Honeywell International. She has specialized knowledge of statutory compliance and contract termination reporting requirements. Perszyk-Cox is a Past President of ASWA's Phoenix Chapter, and her leadership in fundraising has helped the chapter raise over $10,000 towards scholarships over the past 10 years. Perszyk-Cox has fulfilled various roles over the years, including serving as chapter board member and committee chair. As part of the ASWA Educational Foundation's Financial Literacy program, Perszyk-Cox has participated in FDIC "Money Smart” training to a number of non-profits, including Fresh Start Women's Foundation and Arizona Bridge to Independent Living.

Presented by ASWA and the American Woman's Society of Certified Public Accountants, the 2011 Annual Conference for Women in Accounting…Defining Value in All Areas of Accounting & Finance takes place in Charlotte, North Carolina, on October 24 – 26. More than 400 professionals from the accounting and finance industries will participate in educational sessions and networking opportunities. This professional development conference offers attendees the opportunity to earn up to 24 hours of CPE credit.
