Balance Awards Deadline Approaching - Monday, October 20, 2008

AMERICAN SOCIETY OF WOMEN ACCOUNTANTS EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS FOR 2008 BALANCE AWARDS:

Program Sponsored by Accountemps and Robert Half Finance & Accounting

MENLO PARK, CA -- The American Society of Women Accountants Educational 
Foundation (The Foundation) is seeking nominations for the seventh annual Balance Awards. 
Sponsored by Accountemps and Robert Half Finance & Accounting, divisions of specialized 
staffing leader Robert Half International, the Balance Awards honor outstanding companies 
and individuals for their commitment to work/life balance.

There are two categories for which nominations can be submitted. The Industry Awards 
recognize companies that demonstrate sensitivity to women in accounting and finance. 
Nominees may include corporate accounting departments, accounting firms or businesses that 
support the accounting industry, such as banks, employment and consulting services, or 
financial software firms. Local, regional and national companies will be selected.    

The Individual Achievement Awards honor individuals whose accomplishments and 
achievements distinguish them in the financial industry. Nominees may include individuals 
with a financial background and expertise within businesses of all industries, accounting 
firms, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations or businesses that support the 
accounting industry. 

All nominations must be postmarked by June 30, 2008. Local, regional and national winners, 
selected by a distinguished group of judges will be announced in August. The presentation of 
the seventh annual Balance Awards will be held at the Balance Awards Luncheon in 
conjunction with the 2008 Joint National Conference at The Fairmont in Dallas on October

The mission of The Foundation is to promote and advance financial literacy, scholarship and 
life skills through programs of recognition, mentoring, research and outreach. The Foundation 
sponsors the Balance Awards each year to recognize companies and individuals who succeed 
in balancing work and life. Additional Foundation programs include scholarships to 
encourage women professionals in the accounting fields to reach new levels of professional 
achievement and certification.
