AMERICAN SOCIETY OF WOMEN ACCOUNTANTS
PARTNERS WITH MASSACHUSETTS MUTUAL LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY TO INCREASE FINANCIAL LITERACY
The American Society of Women Accountants (ASWA) is pleased to announce a new relationship with Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual). ASWA and MassMutual formed this alliance to provide more continuing education opportunities for women in accounting and finance and to make financial products available to assist ASWA members in business and personal planning.
"The American Society of Women Accountants is pleased to begin working closely with MassMutual,” said Vivian Moller, ASWA 2010-2011 National President. "With access to MassMutual's resources, products and services, ASWA members will have the tools to help plan for their financial future.”
ASWA is the only organization that solely represents the interest of women in the entire accounting and finance community. Women compose over half of accounting graduates in the United States, so it is imperative for organizations like MassMutual to stay connected with ASWA members to ensure the availability of resources needed to succeed in the industry.
"The need for increased and better financial literacy education is a growing one,” said Kelley Gay, Assistant Vice President of Market Development for MassMutual. "Our partnership with the ASWA puts us one step closer to our shared goal of making sure women and their families in the U.S. can put together and activate strong financial plans to ensure their future.”
