Editorial Guidelines
Subject Accountability, is the monthly electronic publication of the American Society of Women Accountants (ASWA). This epublication targets women in accounting, finance and related fields. The mission of ASWA is to enable women in all accounting and related fields to achieve their full personal, professional and economic potential and to contribute to the future development of their profession. Accountability's audience includes partners in national, regional and local CPA firms, financial officers, controllers, academicians, financial analysts and data processing consultants, recent college graduates and women returning to the work force.
ASWA accepts submissions for featured articles based on the monthly focus provided in the Editorial Calendar which can be viewed here. The subject of the submitted article should relate to professional women in public and corporate accounting, and students and those in academia. ASWA also accepts technical articles related to Tax; Auditing & Accounting, Not-For-Profit and Governmental Accounting; and other subjects pertinent to women in this growing field. Format Articles should be submitted via an e-mail attachment in a Microsoft Word format to Accountability editor at editor@aswa.org.
Length Articles should between 500 and 1000 words in length. Longer articles may be considered but need approval prior to submission. For all articles, please contact the Editor to discuss the content prior to submission.
Photo(s) Provide available photos (author head shot(s) or image(s) that supports the article topic) along with the article copy. Electronic images should be saved in TIFF, JPEG or PhotoShop formats, at 300dpi.
Bio Please include a short bio (3-4 sentences) to be listed within the article. With the author's biography, please include author's name, title, academic and professional degrees, institutional affiliations and status, mailing address, e-mail address, phone and fax numbers.
Deadlines Accountability is published the first Thursday of the month. Deadlines for article submissions are four to six weeks prior to issue's targeted publication date on the first Thursday of each month.
Rights All material is subject to editing for length, grammar and style. All material submitted must be original (not previously published), and will become property of ASWA .
